Detecting disinformation in AVALANCHE

We invite researchers, practitioners, and innovators to submit papers to the special session “AI-Driven Risk Assessment, Interoperability and Trusted Operations for Civil Security and Border Management”, co-organised by AVALANCHE at EEITE 2026, 3-5 June in Chania, Crete.
Contributions should address real-world challenges in border and civil security through cutting-edge AI.
Topics of interest include:
- AI-based risk assessment and intelligence-driven operations
- Machine Learning, Big Data, data fusion, and sensor analytics for threat detection
- Interoperability architectures integrating legacy systems and enabling cross-authority collaboration
- AI-powered dynamic resource allocation and congestion management
- Privacy-preserving, explainable, and trustworthy AI
- Energy-efficient AI for large-scale security systems
- Concept note papers on relevant R&I projects
This session will bring together academia, industry, LEAs, and border authorities to exchange operational insights and promote innovation across domains.
