The AVALANCHE project was well-represented last month by UBITECH at the CERIS event, presented by DG HOME, aiming to bring together practitioners, local authorities, policymakers and researches to discuss trends, risks, further research and lessons learned from the multitude of major public events.
The Community for European Research and Innovation for Security (CERIS), integrates EU stakeholders and areas related to security research under one community. According to its webpage, its objectives are to:
- analyse identified capability needs and gaps in the corresponding areas
- identify solutions available to address the gaps
- translate capability gaps and potential solutions into research needs
- identify funding opportunities and synergies between different funding instruments
- identify standardisation research-related needs
- integrate the views of citizens
